Visiting the Heritage Centre

Here is some information you may find useful when planning your visit to the Heritage Centre.

The Heritage Centre is open from 1st April to end October.

Opening times are:

Mondays: closed except on Bank Holidays.

Tuesday to Friday:10.30am to 4.30pm

Saturday, Sunday and Bank Holidays: 2.30pm to 4.30pm

Entry is FREE!

Henley-in-Arden Heritage Centre does not charge for entry but donations towards the running costs of this valuable local institution are always greatly appreciated. The Centre is entirely run by volunteer staff and is incorporated under a registered educational charitable trust.

School and Educational Group visits

Henley-in-Arden Heritage Centre hosts guided group visits from schools, colleges and other educational establishments. These visits are of particular relevance to national curriculum topics and visits can be tailored to focus on topics required.

Groups visiting the Heritage Centre

The Heritage Centre hosts guided visits from historic and civic societies and many other types of adult and student group.

Visits can be extended to include all or any of the town's High Street, its 12th and 15th century churches and the Guildhall, the site of Beaudesert Castle and other features.

Disabled Access

A wheelchair entrance gives access to all the ground floor exhibition areas of the Centre.The stairs are low rise and have robust banisters but no wheelchair access is currently provided to the upper floor. A virtual tour of the upstairs rooms, on video, is provided in the ground floor reading room.

There is a disabled toilet on the ground floor.

All displays are lit by concentrated multiple spotlight systems and there is an illuminated magnifying reader in the reading room.
